The box offered by Honor gives a nice overview of the product, both on the design and on the key features of the connected band. Moreover, this connected band comes in three different colours: black, grey or pink.
For the review, I’m using the black version in this article. It comes with a record and a charging cable, with a specific connector.
The 1.49-inch AMOLED display brings a real plus and it’s fun to look at, even outdoors where the brightness is sufficient. What is a pity, in fact, is that the brightness cannot adjust automatically. The resolution remains a little fair since we can distinguish the pixels on the screen, but for the use, we make of such a bracelet it is not inconvenient. I enjoyed the rendering of the screen and the fact that it is a little wider compared to previous generations.
The Honor Band 6 connected wristband is controlled via the touchscreen and the button on the right side. In addition, the Huawei Health app is also used to interact with the bracelet and collect information. It’s good news that the Huawei Health app is associated with this bracelet because it’s really complete!
A side button key gives access to the wristband features: workouts, heart rate, SpO2, sleep, stress, breathing exercises, music, notifications, weather, stopwatch, timer, alarm, flashlight, find my phone and settings.
The application integrates many reports and allows access to the history of activities and various analyses (sleep, heart rate, etc.). The SpO2 analysis has to be triggered manually, for the rest it’s automatic.
Honor Band 6 offers 10 different training modes: outdoor running, indoor running, indoor walking, outdoor walking, track cycling, indoor cycling, free training, swimming, rowing, elliptical cycling.
When Honor says that the battery life of the band is 14 days: I confirm that this is the case. I wore it day and night, to see if it lasted 14 days, even with the analysis of sleep at night, and it is the case! We will say that 14 days is the basis if you do not practice sports with the bracelet. If you also use the bracelet during your sports outings, you should aim for a battery life of 11 or 12 days. But hey, everything is relative, it depends on the number of outings you make per week and their duration.
If you forgot to recharge your wristband and the battery weakens… Don’t panic! In 10 minutes, you can recover enough autonomy to last 3 days. You have to think of the Honor Band 6 as a child of the Honor Watch ES as it’s in the same style and I love it.
The design is successful, the finishes are good, and the AMOLED screen makes its small effect despite the resolution being a bit fair. With a solid build, because it can be two weeks without recharging it, priced at just £44.99 from Amazon UK.
