Nimo Planet now provides exclusive hardware and software, delivering a power-user experience for productivity applications through a pocket-sized computing device and a virtual, private display. The founder and CEO, Rohildev Nattukallingal, conceived the system to address the limitations of existing smart devices regarding usability and portability.

“Nimo Planet’s technology is equipping the modern workforce with the same luxuries of a multi-monitor setup in a desk-free form factor,” said Nattukallingal. “The common complaint from professionals that work across multiple locations, often daily, is having to routinely compromise their workspace and productivity when juggling devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops. The current solutions for mobile computing limit our ability to stay efficient, organized, and comfortable while on the go. Nimo is deploying spatial computing in a unique and streamlined way to change this model, providing an enterprise-class workspace that fits in your pocket.”

The Nimo 1 Core, roughly the size of an AirPods Pro case, boasts 63mm in width, 43mm in length, and 23mm in thickness. Running on the Nimo 1 OS with a custom rendering system, it can enable multiple Android Apps, Unity Apps, and Web Apps simultaneously. This allows for up to six high-fidelity 3D screens to be rendered within the physical world. The system is powered by a Qualcomm XR2 8-core processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1.

Rokid Max, with its 1080P Micro-OLED lenses, provides an incredibly detailed virtual screen equivalent to 215 inches, with a brightness of up to 600 nits. Weighing only 75g and certified for eye comfort by TÜV Rheinland, users can wear it comfortably for extended periods. Nimo OS supports Mac and Windows applications through USB-C or WiFi, allowing users to connect Nimo 1 Core with laptops and extend up to 5 screens to Nimo Workspaces. Nimo Planet holds a U.S. utility patent for Nimo OS Spatial Workspace and Multi-Window Architecture.

The user-centric design of Nimo Core includes a trackpad and Air Mouse, facilitating access to common productivity applications on Nimo OS. The system allows intuitive navigation of popular workplace applications and supports input devices like a Bluetooth mouse, keyboard, and trackpad.

“As workers and businesses continue to operate in diverse settings, Nimo Planet ensures full suite workstations are available with ease and utility no matter where work takes place,” commented Jerome Oglesby, technology advisory partner at AHEAD and former Deloitte global chief technology officer. “Nimo Core, Nimo OS, and AR Glasses together enable work in versatile environments that transcend physical space limitations—an ideal solution for taking a large office setup with you or expanding a small desk space, especially in flights. The system allows highly productive employees to pack light and turn anywhere into the ideal interactive workspace.”

The core vision of Nimo OS is to empower every user as a Power User, using generative AI to automate workflows within the OS itself. Nimo AI is currently under development to automate OS tasks without modifying third-party apps. Built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and Linux foundation, Nimo OS leverages the stability and versatility of the Android ecosystem.
