MAMMOTION has just taken a major leap forward in autonomous lawn care. At IFA 2025, the company introduced the Tri-Fusion Positioning System—the world’s first navigation platform to seamlessly merge LiDAR, RTK, and Vision technologies into one unified solution. After nine years of development at Mammotion’s Atlas Lab, this breakthrough delivers unmatched ±1 cm accuracy, adaptability across any lawn type, and a setup process designed to be as effortless as possible.

The Birth of Tri-Fusion Intelligence

Until now, robotic mower positioning has relied on a patchwork of solutions: boundary wires, RTK beacons, LiDAR mapping, and camera-based vision systems. Each offered strengths but also came with limitations. LiDAR, for example, excels in smaller spaces but can falter in wide-open areas without reference points. RTK thrives in large gardens but suffers when signals are blocked by trees or buildings. Vision systems can adapt dynamically, but alone they rarely achieve precision at scale.

MAMMOTION’s Tri-Fusion Positioning System solves this puzzle by fusing all three technologies into a single, intelligent platform. More than just combining sensors, the system can dynamically switch between LiDAR, RTK, or Vision as the primary positioning source in real time. That means whether your garden is shaded, sloped, or filled with obstacles, the mower maintains consistent centimetre-level accuracy.

This marks a true generational shift in robotic navigation:

  • Gen 1.0: Boundary wires

  • Gen 2.0: Dual-sensor fusion

  • Gen 3.0: Tri-Fusion intelligence

And unlike many competing systems, MAMMOTION’s platform doesn’t always require perimeter wires or external base stations, streamlining installation for everyday users.

“For the first time, our Tri-Fusion Positioning System combines all three technologies into one intelligent solution, dynamically adjusting based on real-time environmental conditions to ensure optimal stability and performance,” said Jayden Wei, CEO of MAMMOTION. “Whether you have a compact city garden or a sprawling countryside lawn, it delivers high-accuracy mowing in any environment, sunlit or shaded, open or obstructed, flat or hilly.”

The Flagship: LUBA mini AWD LiDAR

Leading the new lineup is the LUBA mini AWD LiDAR, MAMMOTION’s latest robotic mower powered by Tri-Fusion technology. Designed for lawns up to 1,500 m², this all-wheel-drive mower ditches boundary wires and external RTK stations entirely. It can map a lawn in minutes, handle slopes of up to 80%, and maintain centimetre-level accuracy even in tricky environments.

Other standout features include:

  • 3D mapping and smart obstacle avoidance for complex gardens

  • Multi-zone management for flexible lawn care routines

  • Tap-and-go setup, simplifying installation for users

  • OTA update unlocking full Tri-Fusion capabilities

The LUBA mini AWD LiDAR launched in the EU on 30th June 2025, priced at €2,299, with U.S. and U.K. availability to follow later this year.

YUKA mini Vision: Drop, Go, Mow

For smaller and mid-sized gardens, MAMMOTION also unveiled the YUKA mini Vision, the world’s first zero-setup vision-powered mower. Forget about wires, stations, or pre-mapping—just place it on your lawn and press start.

Powered by a triple-camera AI system, the YUKA mini Vision can:

  • Detect obstacles as small as 5×5 cm

  • Automatically map your yard

  • Tackle slopes up to 45%

  • Deliver precise edge trimming, even in shaded areas

It’s clean, quiet, and gets started in under a minute, redefining “hands-off” lawn care. The YUKA mini Vision launched in the EU on 15th August 2025, at €1,199, with the U.S., U.K., and additional markets to follow.

Beyond Lawns: MAMMOTION’s IFA 2025 Showcase

MAMMOTION isn’t just about lawns this year. At IFA, the company is showing off its broader robotics ecosystem, including:

  • Slope-defying AWD mowers designed for extreme terrain

  • Omni-Wheel precision systems enabling zero-radius turns

  • SPINO E1, a robotic pool cleaner engineered to bring MAMMOTION’s navigation expertise into aquatic environments
