At Lenovo Tech World 2026, Motorola delivered one of its most ambitious showcases to date, unveiling a sweeping lineup of flagship hardware, AI-driven platforms, and ecosystem expansions. From its first large-format foldable smartphone and a brand-new ultra-premium device family, to a unified AI ecosystem shared with Lenovo and experimental wearable concepts, Motorola made it clear that it’s positioning itself at the forefront of intelligent, connected experiences.
This year’s announcements weren’t just about new phones—they outlined Motorola’s long-term vision across design, mobility, AI, and accessories.
Motorola Enters the Foldable Arena with the Razr Fold
Motorola officially introduced the Motorola Razr fold, its first foldable smartphone, marking a major evolution of the iconic Razr brand. Designed to balance portability with productivity, the razr fold introduces a book-style folding form factor aimed squarely at power users and multitaskers.
When closed, the device features a slim profile and a 6.56-inch external display, delivering the familiarity and usability of a conventional smartphone. Open it up, and the razr fold transforms into a productivity-focused device with an expansive 8.09-inch 2K LTPO internal display, offering a large canvas for multitasking, creative work, and immersive media consumption.
Motorola has leaned heavily into flexible UI design here. Adaptive layouts, resizable windows, and Moto Pen Ultra stylus support allow users to move seamlessly between work and entertainment. On-device AI tools such as Catch Me Up and Next Move further enhance day-to-day usability by surfacing relevant information and suggesting actions in real time.
A Camera System Built for Versatility

Photography is another strong focus. The razr fold features a triple 50MP rear camera system, consisting of a main sensor, an ultrawide/macro lens, and a 3x periscope telephoto lens. This setup is designed to handle everything from wide landscapes to detailed zoom shots with precision.
A 32MP external camera enables high-quality selfies and video recording even when the device is closed, while a 20MP internal camera supports video calls and content creation in tablet mode. Powered by a Sony LYTIA sensor, the camera system supports Dolby Vision recording and advanced video stabilisation for more cinematic results.
Motorola has not yet confirmed regional availability for the razr fold, but local launch details are expected soon.
Introducing Motorola Signature: A New Ultra-Premium Smartphone Franchise
Alongside its foldable debut, Motorola unveiled Motorola Signature, the first device in a new ultra-premium smartphone lineup aimed at users who demand top-tier performance, materials, and long-term support.
This is the most refined and feature-complete smartphone Motorola has ever produced. The Signature series emphasises craftsmanship, featuring carefully curated finishes, Pantone-inspired colourways, and premium materials throughout. Motorola is also committing to longevity, offering up to seven years of Android OS and security updates, a move that places it among the industry’s leaders in software support.

Flagship Hardware Without Compromise
Despite its ultra-thin profile, the Motorola Signature is packed with high-end specifications. It’s the first ultrathin smartphone in its class to feature four 50MP cameras, powered by the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform, delivering next-generation performance and advanced on-device AI processing.
Battery life hasn’t been sacrificed either. The device houses a 5200mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 90W TurboPower fast charging and 50W wireless charging—impressive figures for a phone this slim.
On the front, a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display takes centre stage, paired with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and Sound by Bose technology. The result is an immersive media experience with exceptional brightness, colour accuracy, and audio clarity.
Motorola is also bundling exclusive services, including on-demand white-glove assistance, reinforcing the Signature line’s premium positioning.
Motorola Qira: A Unified AI Ecosystem with Lenovo
One of the most significant announcements at Tech World 2026 was Motorola Qira, a unified AI platform co-developed with Lenovo. Built on the foundations of Moto AI and Lenovo AI Now, Qira aims to eliminate friction between apps, devices, and AI tools by delivering a consistent, context-aware experience across the ecosystem.
Qira brings together Moto AI, Lenovo AI Now, Creator Zone, and Learning Zone under a single interface, wake word, and shared knowledge base. The platform is designed to maintain context across devices, allowing users to create, capture, and interact seamlessly, whether they’re on a phone, PC, or future form factor.
Motorola has also partnered with major industry players, including Microsoft (365 and Copilot), Qualcomm, Intel, Perplexity, and Google, ensuring trusted AI experiences across on-device and cloud-assisted use cases.
Qira synchronises across devices to anticipate user needs, preserve context, and reduce everyday friction, with additional features slated for rollout later this year.
Project Maxwell: A Glimpse into Context-Aware AI Wearables
Motorola also showcased Project Maxwell, an experimental AI Perceptive Companion developed by Motorola’s 312 Labs. While still a proof of concept, Project Maxwell offers an intriguing look at how AI could evolve beyond screens and keyboards.
Designed as a hands-free, context-aware wearable, Project Maxwell continuously processes environmental data—seeing, hearing, and interpreting surroundings—to deliver real-time insights and personalised recommendations. For example, a user attending a conference could ask the device to listen to a keynote, generate a summary, or even draft a social media post without ever touching their phone.
Two core technologies define the concept:
-
Multimodal Perception Fusion, combining audio and visual data from cameras, microphones, and sensors to provide contextual awareness.
-
Natural Language Interaction and Intention Capture, powered by Large Action Models that don’t just respond to queries but actively execute tasks on the user’s behalf.
While Project Maxwell won’t reach consumers anytime soon, Motorola confirmed that insights from this project will directly influence its future AI development.
Razr 60 FIFA World Cup 26 Special Edition
With the FIFA World Cup 2026 fast approaching, Motorola also announced the Motorola Razr 60 FIFA World Cup 26 Special Edition as part of its Collections by Motorola series. As the Official Smartphone Partner of the tournament, Motorola has infused this limited-edition device with FIFA-inspired design elements.

The phone retains the core features of the razr lineup, including an intelligent external display, an AI-powered camera system, and Moto AI functionality. It also features a titanium-reinforced hinge with IP48 protection and a 4500mAh battery for durability and all-day performance.
Exclusive personalisation options include FIFA-themed wallpapers, a tournament-inspired ringtone, and a FIFA watermark for photos.
