Education is at a pivotal moment. New research, paired with rapidly emerging technologies like generative AI, is redefining how students learn and how educators teach. As classrooms evolve, so must the tools that support them.

With decades of leadership in education technology, Dell Technologies is positioning itself at the centre of this transformation. Through a combination of purpose-built devices and forward-looking education programs, Dell is helping schools prepare students and educators for an AI-driven future—one where digital literacy, resilience, and adaptability are essential skills.

This commitment is reflected in Dell’s expanded education portfolio, which introduces new Dell Pro Education and Dell Chromebook devices alongside programs designed to equip learners for what comes next. These PCs are engineered specifically for modern learning environments: durable enough to handle daily classroom use, serviceable enough to maximise long-term institutional value, and powerful enough to support today’s evolving curricula.

Expanding the Portfolio: Purpose-Built Devices for Modern Learning

Dell is expanding its education lineup with a new generation of devices designed to meet the diverse and practical needs of today’s classrooms.

Built for the realities of student life, these systems feature ruggedised designs tested to MIL-STD 810H standards. Reinforced corners, spill-resistant keyboards, and 180-degree lay-flat hinges—validated through tens of thousands of open-and-close cycles—help ensure they can withstand the wear and tear of the school day.

Powered by Intel N-Series processors, the new devices deliver all-day battery life alongside the performance required for modern, increasingly digital curricula. Whether students are working with cloud-based tools, collaborating on projects, or engaging with AI-enabled learning platforms, the hardware is designed to keep pace.

Serviceability is a core design principle. Customer-replaceable batteries and keyboards, shared components across models, and up to five years of warranty coverage help schools extend device lifecycles, reduce downtime, and minimise e-waste. For IT teams, features like Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, built-in security, and robust device management tools simplify large-scale deployment and support. Dell’s Managed IT Services further enhance this offering with 24/7 monitoring, proactive issue resolution, and dedicated support options.

What’s New in the Lineup

The expanded portfolio includes:

  • Dell Pro Education 11 Laptop & 2-in-1 (Windows OS): Compact, lightweight systems with optional touch support, ideal for younger students and educators who need mobility throughout the day.

These additions join the Dell Chromebook 11, launched late last year, providing schools with greater flexibility in equipping students and staff across grade levels.

Shaping the Future Through Education Programs and Partnerships

Dell’s impact in education extends beyond hardware. The company continues to invest in programs and partnerships that help students develop critical digital, technical, and leadership skills.

Recent initiatives include:

  • Student TechCrew (U.S.): A student-led helpdesk program that teaches 9th–12th graders about technology support and device repair while empowering them to assist peers and staff.

  • Girls Who Game (U.S. and Global): Developed in partnership with Microsoft and Intel, this program encourages early interest in STEM while building leadership, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

  • Tech Career Circuit (Global): Developed in collaboration with Discovery Education, this initiative offers hands-on resources and AI-focused learning experiences for students in grades 6–12, preparing them for in-demand IT careers.

  • Data Dunkers (Canada): A creative program that uses basketball statistics to teach data science and AI concepts to students in grades 5–12, fostering analytical thinking and career exploration.

  • U.S. Presidential AI Challenge (U.S.): As the technology partner, Dell is helping expand access to free, on-demand AI and technology literacy training for K–12 students, with a focus on workforce readiness.

A Legacy of Leadership in Education

“Dell’s leadership in education is rooted in a deep understanding of how learning evolves alongside the students and teachers who shape it,” said Kevin Terwilliger, Head of Product, Client Devices at Dell Technologies. “When we design technology for the classroom, we look beyond utility to create tools that foster resilience, spark curiosity, and enable meaningful connections. Our expanded portfolio of purpose-built education devices reflects this commitment—delivering durable, high-performing solutions that meet the real-world demands of students and educators alike.”
