Athom, the company behind the Homey smart home ecosystem, has unveiled an official integration with Reolink, bringing expanded security capabilities to its growing platform. The new Reolink app, now available via the Homey App Store, enables users to seamlessly connect their Reolink cameras, video doorbells, and NVR systems directly into their smart home setup.Homey Bridge Homey Pro Homey Pro mini Mobile App Web App Reolink

Smarter Security Through Automation

The integration is designed to go beyond simple monitoring, turning security devices into active participants in a fully automated home. Reolink camera events can now trigger actions within Homey Flow, unlocking powerful automation possibilities across more than 1,000 supported brands.

For example, if a camera detects a person at night, Homey can instantly respond by switching on outdoor lighting, sending a snapshot notification, locking doors, and even activating recording on additional cameras. It’s a shift from passive alerts to proactive home protection.

Users also benefit from real-time notifications for doorbell presses and motion events, as well as the ability to view live streams and snapshots directly within Homey. Advanced camera controls—including pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ), spotlights, and built-in sirens—are fully accessible from the platform.

Stefan Witkamp, CEO of Athom, summed up the vision behind the integration: a truly smart home isn’t just aware of what’s happening—it reacts intelligently in real time.

Broad Device Support

The integration supports a wide range of Reolink hardware, including Wi-Fi and PoE cameras, PTZ models, dual-lens cameras, video doorbells, the Home Hub, and NVR systems. However, 4G/LTE-enabled devices are not currently supported. Users can find detailed compatibility information on the app’s listing in the Homey App Store.

Availability

The Reolink app is available now and works with Homey Pro, Homey Pro Mini, and Homey Self-Hosted Server, giving both casual users and advanced enthusiasts flexible deployment options.
