AWOL Vision is entering the final pre-order phase for its upcoming flagship Aetherion series, giving early adopters one last chance to secure its next-generation ultra-short-throw (UST) projectors ahead of full retail availability. The lineup includes two models — the Aetherion Pro and Aetherion Max — both designed to push the boundaries of large-format home cinema.
To mark the occasion, AWOL Vision is bundling compelling launch incentives. Customers can pick up a cinema-grade ambient light rejecting (ALR) screen at half its recommended retail price, alongside savings of up to £1,195 when opting for a complete home theatre package. It’s a clear push towards delivering a full, ready-to-go cinema experience rather than just standalone hardware.

Built for immersive, large-screen entertainment
The Aetherion series is engineered for premium home viewing, with triple-laser UST projection capable of delivering native 4K visuals at screen sizes up to a massive 200 inches. That combination of scale and resolution positions the range firmly in the high-end segment, aimed at users looking to replicate a true cinematic experience at home.
This launch follows a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, which attracted over 7,000 backers and raised approximately $18.7 million. With that momentum behind it, AWOL Vision is now preparing for its official rollout, with the Aetherion Pro expected to launch in late May, followed by the Aetherion Max in June.
More than just a projector
Rather than focusing solely on projection hardware, AWOL Vision is pitching the Aetherion series as part of a complete home cinema ecosystem. The company is offering curated bundles that combine a projector, screen, and accessories into a single package — often at a significantly reduced overall cost compared to buying each component separately.
Many of these bundles include premium projection screens at 50% off their usual MSRP, making them particularly appealing for users building a setup from scratch.
Premium tech under the hood
On the technology front, AWOL Vision is introducing several enhancements to improve image quality and viewing comfort. Anti-RBE (rainbow effect) technology is said to reduce visual artefacts by up to 99.99%, helping deliver smoother and more natural visuals, particularly in fast-moving scenes.
Meanwhile, the brand’s PixelLock™ technology ensures precise pixel alignment across the image, maintaining sharpness and clarity right to the edges of the screen — an area where some large-format projectors can struggle.
The Aetherion Max leads the range with brightness up to 3,300 lumens at ISO 3,300, paired with a native contrast ratio of 6,000:1. This combination should translate to strong performance across a variety of lighting conditions, from darkened cinema rooms to brighter living spaces.
