TCL has announced its partnership as the official Stage Sponsor of the Queen Elizabeth Hall at the prestigious London Literature Festival 2024, held at London’s iconic Southbank Centre.
This collaboration reflects TCL’s commitment to fostering creativity, storytelling, and enriching the reading experience. With this ethos, TCL recently unveiled its innovative TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER 5G smartphone and TCL 14 Pro NXTPAPER tablet.
The TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER 5G, a groundbreaking smartphone, introduces a unique feature: the TCL NXTPAPER Key. This physical switch activates TCL MAX INK Mode, transforming the screen into a paper-like display that enhances reading and minimizes digital distractions. Limiting social media apps and notifications creates the perfect environment for focused activities and uninterrupted reading sessions.
TCL’s campaign tagline, “Switch on to Switch Off,” emphasizes the importance of stepping away from constant scrolling and prioritizing personal well-being through digital detox.
The TCL NXTPAPER 14 tablet also incorporates NXTPAPER 3.0 technology. It features the NXTPAPER key, allowing users to effortlessly switch between a vivid colour display and a black-and-white e-reader mode.
The London Literature Festival, a global celebration of words, stories, and ideas, attracts some of the most influential literary figures to one of London’s most renowned venues. As the official sponsor of the Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall stage, TCL will connect with book lovers and creators, further promoting the importance of finding time for uninterrupted reading and digital detoxing.
As part of the partnership, TCL will host an interactive brand activation for the public on The Queen’s Walk in Southbank, London, on November 2nd, showcasing the TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER 5G and emphasizing the importance of ‘Switch On To Switch Off.’ Additionally, TCL will run an ongoing activation within Queen Elizabeth Hall from October 22nd to November 3rd, open to visitors throughout the London Literature Festival.
“We are thrilled to sponsor Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Southbank Centre’s London Literature Festival, a thirteen-day festival that celebrates the beauty of storytelling,” said William Paterson, TCL UK and Ireland Country Director. “This partnership allows us to highlight the significance of digital well-being and promote our new TCL 50 PRO NXTPAPER 5G, a smartphone designed to help users find balance in an always-connected world.”
Ted Hodgkinson, Head of Literature & Spoken Word at the Southbank Centre, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that TCL are supporting this year’s London Literature Festival. From spotlighting the cultural communities on our doorstep to platforming an incredible array of world-renowned voices, the festival exists to inspire and nourish the next generation of creators and storytellers. TCL will sponsor the Queen Elizabeth Hall stage which will host an array of exciting events. From guest co-curator Ghetts discussing lyricism and poetry, to events with author Susanna Clarke, Hollywood star Rupert Everett, and a new stage adaptation of The Elmer Adventure, there really is something for everyone, and we thank them for their support.”
