OnePlus has officially announced that its upcoming value-flagship, the OnePlus 15R, will debut globally as the first smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform.

The OnePlus 15R continues the brand’s R-series legacy—devices engineered with a laser-focused philosophy on raw performance, sustained speed and high-end mobile gaming. That ethos starts with the chipset, and this year, OnePlus is taking a major leap forward. Co-developed with Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 delivers a 36% boost in CPU performance, an 11% GPU uplift, and up to 46% better AI performance compared to the previous generation found in the OnePlus 11R, 12R, and 13R.

The OnePlus 15R will be fully unveiled on 17th December, with additional details expected to roll out in the weeks leading up to launch.
