OnePlus is gearing up for a major end-of-year showcase. The company today revealed fresh details about three new devices launching globally on 17th December: the OnePlus 15R, its new “ultimate value flagship”; the OnePlus Pad Go 2, a premium mid-range tablet; and the OnePlus Watch Lite, a lightweight but feature-packed wearable aimed at delivering core smartwatch experiences at an affordable price.
The announcements arrive as OnePlus celebrates its 12th anniversary, complete with a community event, a letter from founder Pete Lau, and the launch of an anniversary game featuring its fan-favourite mascot Una.
OnePlus 15R: New Camera Tech, New Chips, and a Blazing Display
OnePlus has pulled back the curtain on what powers the upcoming OnePlus 15R, and it looks like the brand intends to make this its strongest R-series device to date.
Detailmax Engine & Flagship Photography Tools
The 15R is confirmed to run the Detailmax Engine, the same advanced computational photography system used in the OnePlus 15. That means users get all three of OnePlus’ latest flagship imaging modes:
-
Ultra Clear Mode for high-resolution detail
-
Clear Burst for capturing crisp action shots
-
Clear Night Engine for dramatically improved low-light performance
Together, they bring the 15R’s camera capabilities much closer to the mainline flagship experience.
Triple-Chip Power for Gaming
Continuing the R-series legacy of gaming-first performance, the 15R features a triple-chip architecture, headlined by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform. The phone is also the first global device to launch with this co-developed chipset, giving it a notable performance edge.
Backing that up are:
-
G2 Wi-Fi chip for stronger, more stable wireless performance
-
Touch Response Chip enabling significantly faster touch detection, ideal for competitive mobile gaming
165 Hz 1.5K AMOLED Display
OnePlus is also pushing visual performance further, with the 15R confirmed to include a:
-
165 Hz refresh rate
-
1.5K AMOLED panel
-
450 ppi density
-
Peak brightness of 1800 nits, dropping to as dim as 2 nits—or 1 nit with Reduce White Point—for comfortable night-time use
This spec sheet positions the 15R as one of the most gaming-focused displays in its class.
OnePlus Pad Go 2: A Bigger, Brighter, Sharper Mid-Range Tablet
The company also shared display and software details for the new OnePlus Pad Go 2, which aims to bring premium tablet features into a more affordable package.
2.8K, 12.1-inch Display
Key display specs include:
-
12.1-inch (30.73 cm) 2.8K panel
-
284 ppi resolution
-
Peak brightness of 900 nits
-
98% DCI-P3 colour coverage
-
Dolby Vision support
The tablet is also TÜV Rheinland Smart Care 4.0 certified, making it a more eye-friendly option for long usage sessions.
Open Canvas Multitasking
OnePlus is bringing its acclaimed Open Canvas multitasking to the Go 2. The system allows intuitive management of multiple windows using simple touch gestures—enabling easy split-screen sessions and quick app switching.
OnePlus Watch Lite: Core Smartwatch Features in a Slim, Premium Design
Joining the phone and tablet is the new OnePlus Watch Lite, a compact wearable that balances premium materials with essential fitness and wellness tools.
Lightweight Premium Build
Despite its accessible price point, the Watch Lite features:
-

It’s one of the thinnest and lightest stainless steel wearables in its category.
Bright AMOLED Display
The 1.46-inch AMOLED panel is protected with impact-resistant glass and hits:
-
3,000 nits peak brightness in Sports Mode
-
600 nits in normal daily use
Comprehensive Wellness Tracking
A single 60-second Wellness Overview provides quick reads of key vitals via:

OnePlus 12th Anniversary: Community Letter & OnePlus Run 2.0 Game
Alongside the product reveals, OnePlus is marking its 12th anniversary with a message from founder Pete Lau. In his letter, Lau highlights the brand’s renewed commitment to “burdenless technology” and its goal of empowering the next generation through innovation.
Fans can also jump into the all-new OnePlus Run 2.0 game, starring mascot Una. Players have the chance to win devices, including:
