XREAL is giving its flagship wearable display an iterative, everyday-focused refresh. The company today unveiled the XREAL 1 Pro+, an updated successor built directly on the chassis and feature set of the One Pro lineup. Rather than tearing up the blueprint, the 1 Pro+ targets the three areas AR display wearers care about most: display brightness, spatial smoothness, and nose-bridge comfort.

The headset is available globally starting today, 15th October 2026, via XREAL.com for $599 USD, with third-party retail availability rolling out in the coming weeks.

What’s New: Brighter Optics, Smarter Modes, and Smoother 3D

The original One Pro earned its reputation on solid fundamentals—namely XREAL’s custom X1 spatial computing chip, native 3DoF head tracking, and a wide 57-degree field of view (FoV). All of those core specs remain intact on the 1 Pro+, but the optical experience gets several notable upgrades:

  • 1,200 Nits Peak Brightness & AI HDR: Ambient light has always been the kryptonite of optical see-through displays. The bump to 1,200 nits, paired with real-time AI HDR tone mapping, should noticeably improve contrast and clarity in daylight or well-lit rooms.

  • Dedicated Viewing Profiles: A new mode switcher lets you toggle between Standard, Movie, and Reading presets, optimising colour saturation, sharpness, and text legibility depending on whether you’re mirroring a Mac, bingeing a stream, or reading documentation.

  • 60Hz 2D-to-3D Conversion: While the previous generation converted flat media to spatial 3D at 30Hz, the 1 Pro+ doubles the conversion refresh rate to 60 fps (frames per second). The result is fluid, judder-free depth conversion for standard movies, YouTube clips, and games directly on the glasses.

Comfort Where It Counts

Beyond display specs, the physical hardware gets a functional redesign. The 1 Pro+ swaps in a newly engineered ergonomic nose pad system. Wearable displays often suffer from focal drift when the frames slide down the nose bridge during prolonged use, cutting off the top or bottom edges of the micro-OLED panel. The revised pad structure is built to improve clamp stability and weight distribution, keeping that 57-degree field of view fully in focus during multi-hour productivity or entertainment sessions.

At $599, the 1 Pro+ is a targeted refinement: it keeps the proven One Pro platform while addressing real-world pain points in outdoor brightness, motion fluidity, and extended wearability.
