Huawei also today announced the Huawei MateBook X, the latest addition to the Huawei MateBook line-up, Featuring the series’ signature aesthetics.

The ultra-portable experience is redefined by the compact notebook, which packs everything in a lightweight body that is as light as 1kg and measures just 13.6mm at the thickest part. Every interaction is a joy with the lightweight notebook, and with a 13-inch body, it fits easily in any backpack like a magazine, always at the ready for the next adventure.
The latest Huawei notebook’s slim form factor comes at no expense to durability. Featuring a lightweight magnesium aluminium unibody that is manufactured through a CNC cutting process, the ultra-portable Huawei MateBook X is built with robustness in mind. An advanced spraying process is also employed to produce a smooth finish on the surface, adding elegant style to function.
Inspired by the iridescent mother-of-pearl and glitter powder, Huawei MateBook X elevates CMF design to an art form with four glitter-infused colourways: Silver Frost, Forest Green, Interstellar Blue and Sakura Pink.
3K Infinite FullView Display provides a borderless and immersive experience
The new Huawei MateBook X is the first notebook to feature the Infinite FullView Display, realised with a borderless design that offers a 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The unobstructed screen delivers an immersive experience whether the user is working, creating content or binging on movies.
The LTPS screen supports 3K resolution (3000×2000) with 100 per cent sRGB colour (typical value) to deliver an incredible visual experience with great detail and colour vibrancy. Users can be more productive with the 3:2 screen, which displays more content. The display is also multitouch-enabled with gesture support, such as Fingers Gesture Screenshot, which lets users quickly take a screenshot by swiping downwards on the screen with three fingers, as easy as it is on a smartphone. Touch also adds a new dimension to the multi-device user experience. With Multi-screen Collaboration set up, controlling a Huawei smartphone on the PC is as intuitive as it is on the physical device.
Huawei offers eye care features on the Huawei MateBook X: Eye Comfort mode effectively filters out blue light emissions to provide eye strain relief during long sessions of use, and brightness adjustment algorithms ensure a consistent viewing experience no matter the device is used indoors or under direct sunlight.
Smarter cross-device experiences
The Multi-screen Collaboration feature in Huawei Share enables seamless collaboration between smartphones and PCs. Once a smartphone is connected to Huawei MateBook X, the smartphone screen is integrated into the notebook with a picture-in-picture window. In addition to easy drag-and-drop file transfer, this feature allows the PC to directly open and edit files on the smartphone. Instant Hotspot provides one-step access to the internet via tethering. And during break-time at work, users can catch up with family and friends by video or audio calling them conveniently from the notebook.

Improved innovations offer smarter experiences
Featuring a wide range of innovative technology, Huawei MateBook X is designed to inspire creativity on all fronts, anytime and anywhere. Huawei MateBook X is the first to feature a touchpad with Huawei Free Touch. The improved touchpad offers a more expansive space for navigation and creative expressions and supports full haptic feedback for more tactile experience. The Huawei Share tag is now incorporated within the touchpad, providing easy access to the Multi-screen Collaboration feature. The new full-size keyboard features scissors switches that offer 1.3mm of key travel to make typing a joy, with keyboard lighting providing key illumination for late-night use.
User privacy is protected by the Fingerprint Power Button, which combines the fingerprint reader with the power button to securely authenticate user identity when the device is switched on, effectively replacing the login password on the Windows Welcome screen. Further on privacy, the unique recessed camera design affords peace of mind for users by embedding the camera into a keycap that is easily accessible and pops up only when the users have a need for it.
