Motorola is sharpening its sports marketing playbook. Expanding its role as the Official Smartphone Partner of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, the brand has announced a year-long partnership with three European football stars: Spain’s Vicky López, Italy’s Eleonora Goldoni, and Switzerland’s Alayah Pilgrim.
Running from summer 2026 through the tournament in Brazil, the initiative is designed to drive grassroots community programs and digital fan engagement across Europe and the META (Middle East, Turkey, and Africa) region.

The Ambassador Lineup
The three athletes represent a mix of top-tier technical talent and digital reach:
-
Vicky López (Spain): The inaugural Women’s Kopa Trophy winner, 2024 Golden Girl, and UEFA Women’s Nations League champion represents the next generation of creative playmakers.
-
Eleonora Goldoni (Italy): A veteran midfielder recognised for balancing athletic performance with off-pitch advocacy and youth mentorship.
-
Alayah Pilgrim (Switzerland): A rising international forward known for cultural impact and dynamic content creation around the women’s game.
Technology on the Pitch: The Lenovo-Motorola Ecosystem
The move ties into the broader technical infrastructure strategy Motorola shares with parent company Lenovo, FIFA’s Official Technology Partner. For major tournaments—including the FIFA World Cup 26 and the Women’s World Cup 2027—the dual brands are supplying end-to-end hardware and computing infrastructure.
Motorola smartphones and AI-enabled devices will be integrated into real-time content capture, sideline media operations, and localised digital fan activations. Rather than standard sideline branding, the partnership focuses on using mobile tech to produce behind-the-scenes creator content and enhance mobile-first fan experiences.
Grassroots and Digital Engagement
Beyond device integration, the ambassadorship includes community-focused CSR initiatives across 2026 and 2027. Motorola will deploy the players across workshops, mentorship initiatives, and digital story-driven campaigns aimed at lowering barriers for young women in both sports and technology.
By tying player-led storytelling directly to hardware capabilities, Motorola is positioning its device ecosystem as a primary bridge connecting fans to the global game.
