OnePlus will unveil the first OnePlus Nord device (21st July) – the newest addition to the brand’s smartphone line up. OnePlus challenged industry norms and held the world’s first product launch entirely in VR for the OnePlus 2. Now, five years later, it’s continuing that legacy by debuting Nord in the world’s first AR smartphone launch.

As a brand built on the unwavering support of its global community, OnePlus is dedicated to providing users with exciting and refreshing experiences that are meaningful. This new format not only allows OnePlus to unveil Nord in a truly unprecedented manner but also leverages AR technology that allows users to experience the product from the safety of their homes.

The OnePlus Nord AR launch can be experienced through the OnePlus Nord AR App available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The launch event will take place at 4 pm CEST/ 3 pm BST.

• Follow the instructions on-screen to start the immersive AR experience.
• Make sure you have a good internet connection to have a consistent AR streaming experience.

Getting and using a Nord AR invitation

• Scan the QR code on the invite to initiate the WEB AR experience. You can scan the QR code with your native camera app (on Android versions 9 and 10), Google Lens, or any QR code scanner.
• After you load the WEB AR experience, scan the AR invitation to go hands-on with the upcoming OnePlus Nord device.

Documentary episode two and more pre-orders

Episode 2 of the “New Beginnings” documentary is now live on the OnePlus Nord Instagram channel. In this week’s episode, the OnePlus Nord team hits the road to understand exactly what future Nord customers want in their smartphone experience.

On 8th July, the next 900 OnePlus Nord smartphones will be available for pre-order. Like with the previous round of pre-orders, OnePlus will be giving away merchandise to those among the first to embark on this new journey with us.

• Once on the page, users can pay €20 to pre-order their device.
• Upon pre-ordering, users will receive limited edition OnePlus Nord merchandise.
