A late review of the TCL 10 5G (2020) priced at £299.99 from Vodafone UK, Three, EE and Argos and Amazon UK. The TCL 10 5G offers a quadruple-camera including the main 64MP high-resolution camera, a 118°-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, the third macro for close-up photos just 2cm away, and the last room with a depth sensor for professional quality shots with bokeh effect. The bokeh is related to the blurry effect and the yield of the same keeping only the elements in the foreground totally in focus.

To get the maximum details out of your photography with the TCL 10’s 64MP high-resolution main camera. In this case, the front camera has a 16 MP resolution equipped with “4 in 1” technology, that is, capable of automatically combining four pixels into one to “produce brighter photos and improve image quality even in low light conditions”.
This presumably keeps low the level of video noise that risks disturbing the final yield, again a function to try. TCL 10 5G includes a declared battery to ensure a full day of use of the apparatus along with Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.
The glass and metal give the whole device a high-quality feeling. With a big feature is the good looking 6.53″ FHD+ display, with a Dotch instead of a Notch. The screen is where a lot of budget mobile phones skimp on. It’s rich but lacks any punch with no OLED. The Dotch is in the top right and is hardly noticeable. The back features the quad-camera in a single line across the back. These are built into the phone, so there is no bump on the back.
Specs
The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm SDM765 Snapdragon 765G Octa-core processor. The device is pack with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage that can be increased with microSDXC (uses shared SIM slot).
The smartphone is available in two different colour options as Chrome Blue and Mercury Gray. It features quad-camera that includes 64 MP (wide) + 8 MP (ultrawide) + 5 MP (macro) + 2 MP (depth) with Dual-LED flash, HDR, panorama.
Gaming
Tested out a few mobile games like Fortnite, Call of Duty mobile with no problems as all.
Camera
With the TCL 10 5G having a Snapdragon 765 and 6GB of RAM, there is 128GB of internal storage, so more than enough space. But if you did want to add more space, there is a micro-sd card slot, also a rare headphone jack on top of the TCL 10 5G.
The quad-camera set up allow for some ok shots and was a good choice from TCL. Images could be sharper and also less saturated at times, as the whites can be blinding. The selfie camera takes ok phones on the device but nothing special.
The 4,500mAh battery gets me through the day. I was worried the display would drain it, but I was happy to see that wasn’t the case, the 18W charger is super fast as well.
Overall, the TCL 10 5G is a great first step into the market from TCL.
