MediaTek today is expanding its longstanding relationship with Hisense, the first television brand to utilize Pentonic SoCs, to significantly improve the visual quality of streaming content. Starting in 2024, MediaTek AI-Super Resolution (AI-SR) technology will be integrated and supported across Hisense’s full lineup of smart TVs. 

Regardless of resolution, internet bandwidth fluctuations can degrade streaming content on TVs. MediaTek AI-SR resolves this issue by seamlessly upgrading the content stream to maintain native, high-quality 4K standards even when the original content is only FHD. By effectively removing compression artefacts and restoring lost details through intelligent image analysis, viewers will always enjoy the best possible streaming experience automatically and seamlessly with MediaTek AI-SR.

MediaTek AI-SR technology intelligently upscales all content – such as FHD and UHD – to 4K resolution, matching the native display resolution on the television, including cloud gaming applications. With AI-SR technology supporting near-zero latency delay compensation, gamers gain the benefit of high-quality gaming video in addition to low latency.
