Vodafone has teamed up with Amazon Prime and YouTube Premium to add to its already compelling portfolio of entertainment partners, which includes Spotify Premium, Now TV Entertainment Pass and Sky Sports Mobile TV.  Vodafone is the first UK operator to offer customers the choice of Amazon Prime or YouTube Premium as part of a mobile plan.

Amazon Prime members can stream thousands of movies, TV shows and Amazon Originals on Prime Video, and also have access to Prime Reading and Amazon Music.

Prime members also receive unlimited free delivery on eligible items and exclusive access to deals, discounts, as well as other perks such as Prime Now and Prime Wardrobe, where they can try before you buy with free and easy returns. They also get access to Twitch Prime which includes game content, a Twitch channel subscription, and a collection of games every month. Existing Vodafone entertainment customers that had previously selected Amazon Prime Video and have more than 3 months membership left will be automatically upgraded to the full Amazon Prime offering for the remaining period of their contract.

Vodafone customers that select YouTube Premium as their entertainment partner will enjoy ad-free and uninterrupted videos and music, so they can stream their heart out.  Viewers will also be able to download their favourite videos to watch offline whilst they are on-the-go.

For those that enjoy multi-tasking whilst on their devices, YouTube Premium will continue playing content when customers are using other apps or if their screen is turned off.  Plus, customers will also get access to the new YouTube Music app and YouTube Kids app – a more controlled environment that makes it simpler and more fun for children to explore on their own.

Vodafone customers will now be able to enjoy the benefits of either Amazon Prime or YouTube Premium from as little as £22 per month on a SIM-only plan with unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 5GB of data. Those that select an Unlimited Max plan can enjoy unlimited data and access to 5G in more places across Europe than any other UK operator (great for when the time comes to travel again). Customers who select an entertainment plan will get 100 UK to EU minutes included so they can keep in touch with friends and family across Europe.  Vodafone customers on SoHo (small office/home office) or SME (small-medium enterprise) tariffs are also eligible to enjoy both Amazon Prime or YouTube Premium (or any of the other partners) as part of the entertainment offering.

Max Taylor, Consumer Director at Vodafone UK said:” Keeping our customers connected to the people and things that they love the most is our number one priority.  That is why we are delighted to be the first UK operator to give our customers access to Amazon Prime and YouTube Premium as part of their mobile plan.  It means they can watch their favourite films, shows and videos, listen to their favourite music and do their online shopping, whenever and wherever on the UK’s best mobile data network”.
